Woodrock Studios was founded in September 2012 by Carmen Verderosa and his wife, Kathy. Since it's inception, Woodrock has become a cornerstone of New Jersey's music scene, growing from its early days into one of the state’s premier recording and rehearsal studios.
With four professionally equipped rooms, our studio is designed to create a laid-back atmosphere where musicians can come together and play. The Stage Left Lounge stands out as a versatile space, featuring a performance-ready stage alongside a cozy lounge area, making it the perfect space for rehearsals, live recordings, or even hosting small events.
Our control room features the lastest audio plugins, running in Pro Tools, along with an an array of industry-standard gear, including the iconic Neumann U87 and the legendary LA2A compressor. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality. Whether you're a newcomer recording your first demo or an experienced band crafting your next album, we’re ready to bring your vision to life!

Honoring Our Founder
In February 2021, we lost our beloved founder, Carmen Verderosa. Carmen was more than the heart of Woodrock Studios; he was a vital part of the central Jersey music scene. Known for his corny yet endearing jokes, Carmen had a knack for bringing laughter to everyone around him. Many still fondly recall his humor as a cherished part of their studio experience.
Carmen’s legacy goes far beyond his jokes and warm personality. By following his dream to open his own studio, he created a space for countless musicians to pursue their own dreams. His humble nature wouldn’t allow him to admit it, but his dedication to supporting the local music scene left an indelible mark. Carmen’s inspiration and passion continue to inspire everything we do at Woodrock Studios.

Preserving the Vision
Under Kathy's leadership, Woodrock Studios continues to thrive, supported by AJ Poland and Mike Scasserra. AJ has been with the studio from the very beginning, growing from an intern to a managerial role. While Mike brings years of expertise as an engineer and studio manager, ensuring to maintain Woodrock's reputation for high-quality recordings. Together, they handle daily operations and uphold the values that Carmen instilled.
The team upholds Carmen's vision by maintaining a welcoming and inclusive space where musicians of every skill level and genre can come together to create, collaborate, and develop their talents.
